In August of 2007 the Town of West Warwick and the West Warwick Police Department opened the West Warwick Youth Center.  This building, which contains a recreation room, meeting room, cafeteria with vending machines, and Police gym, was built and furnished mainly with grants and donations from both businesses and individuals.  The main goal of the Center is to provide a safe, violence, and drug free area for the youths of West Warwick from grades 5 to 12, who are under the age of 18.
