Fingerprint Appointments

The Bureau of Criminal Identification only handles nationwide background checks using fingerprints.

Please call the Bureau of Criminal Identification at

(401) 827-9010 to schedule an appointment.

As of Oct. 27, 2019, the RI Department of Human Services has taken over licensing for Child Care from DCYF. They recommend going to the Attorney General's Office for the comprehensive fingerprint background check. No appointment necessary.
