In 2019 there were 3 fatal overdoses and 14 successful administrations of Narcan. In 2020 there were 6 overdose fatalities and 14 successful administrations of Narcan. Prescription opiates Heroin Synthetic opioids RI has one of the most comprehensive treatment programs for inmates in the country: providing access to treatment and medications while incarcerated, insurance, and directing to treatment programs after sentences have been served. Though progress has been made, the West Warwick Police Department continues to be dedicated to addressing the epidemic.
