Domestic Violence
The West Warwick Police provide services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assaults through our partnership with a Law Enforcement Advocate. The LEA has specified training and provides support and assistance directly with victims. This service is free and available to anyone in need.
The LEA's services are to: explain victim's rights, provide assistance and support for the victim throughout the criminal justice proceedings, safety planning, supply victims with information and referrals, accompany the victim to court dates and/or hospital visits, assist with statements and interviews, and supply an emergency 911 cell phone if necessary.
